An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and analytical Treasury & Liquidity Manger to support the CFO and wider business in managing the treasury function and ongoing liquidity for this dynamic and growing Real Estate debt fund.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and analytical Treasury & Liquidity Manger to support the CFO and wider business in managing the treasury function and ongoing liquidity for this dynamic and growing Real Estate debt fund.

The company provide financing solutions to the Real Estate industry for experienced and credit-worthy borrowers who are underserved by UK banks and lending institutions.

This is a business-critical requirement to ensure the capital stack operates at optimal efficiency and the business has accurate live data regarding where capital is available to be deployed to the market.

Working closely with the CFO, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in building out the treasury function
  • Day to day management of compliance with two senior debt facilities, provided by two separate funders
  • Operate various bank accounts, managing daily cash sweeps and transfers in line with facility and liquidity requirements
  • Preparing funding requests to maintain liquidity, ensuring the firm can fund new loans and drawdowns on existing loans
  • Monitoring compliance with various portfolio concentration limits and eligibility criteria specific to each facility
  • Maintaining strong relationships and regularly engaging with external parties such as banks, corporate service providers, senior debt providers and auditors
  • Working with the CFO and Allocations Committee to recommend facility allocations for new loans
  • Working with the Finance Manager to forecast and budget facility cashflows.
  • Monthly and ad-hoc reporting for committees and the board
  • Assist with ad-hoc analysis of loan book and funding strategies
  • Providing challenge to existing processes and look to add automation and operational efficiencies where possible

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years prior experience of managing, or working within, a dynamic treasury function
  • Experience of operating senior debt facilities, including ongoing compliance with eligibility criteria and concentration limits
  • Operational experience of bank accounts, cash sweeps, reconciliations, facility compliance reporting and funding requests
  • Solid understanding of legal obligations within facility agreements
  • Inquisitive nature with a desire to create efficiencies, improve processes and take responsibility for a treasury function
  • Ability to quickly build key relationships internally and externally
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Recent financial services / real estate / short-term lending / securitisation knowledge is preferable, but not essential
