Trading Assistant - Derivatives Trading
Cititec are working with a financial services company based in London that are looking for multiple Trading Assistants to join them on a permanent basis. The roles sits within the Middle Office team and will focus on ensuring that trades across the full range of asset classes have been accurately and completely captured through reconciliation to counterparties and 3rd party systems.
The services that the Middle Office team provide include client onboarding, reconciliation of client positions, multi product processing, life cycle event management and process improvement. The role will require you to work closely with operations, execution traders and portfolio managers and as such an ability to prioritise based on risk profile is very important.
Experience Required:
Degree in a numerate discipline
- Understanding of financial markets and different asset classes
- In depth knowledge of ETD and OTC derivative instruments including execution, mechanics and analytics
- Experience implementing STP (Straight through processing) and automation
- Excellent knowledge of operational risk and risk mitigation by using technology, process and controls
- Experience with Excel and VBA or SQL would be highly beneficial but not essential
- An ability to problem solve and implement process improvement
