This Investment Bank is looking for a Technical Project Manager to drive delivery of risk applications across multiple asset classes.

Risk group of this Investment Bank is looking to hire a Technical Project Manager. You will be responsible for driving initiatives - both new development and evolving existing systems. The risk systems are used across multiple asset classes - ETD, FX, Rates, Stock Loan amongst others. Given the breadth of asset classes development is done across both Linux and Windows platforms.

You must have a strong development background in Java combined with some database knowledge (ideally Oracle). You won't be expected to do hands on development work but must have technical credibility with the development teams. This is a Matrix management role and the entire team globally is less than 50 heads. You must have strong Project Management skills and have delivered full lifecyle in an Investment Bank.

Knowledge of Risk ( Counterparty, Market, Credit, Front Office Risk & PnL) would prove beneficial but is not required. You should however possess an understanding of Rates, FX, ETD, Stock Loan, Prime Brokerage or Equity Swaps and will have delivered successfully within it.

This role will not suit a Senior PM removed from technology, Programme Manager or someone who has managed large teams. This role is close to technology and requires someone who does enjoy the technical detail whilst still being able to drive projects. Given multiple clients you must be able to communicate with clarity and expertise to senior management, manage relationships effectively, prioritise and resolve business critical issues.
