Tax Reporting Manager, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
We are looking for a Manager with your experience to join our Tax Reporting, Indirect Tax transformation team.

You will be supporting and participating in the selection, design, testing and rollout of a variety of indirect tax technologies across Macquarie. This is an EMEA role, but you will also support the implementations of global solutions. You will have a practical experience and knowledge of tax software and indirect tax processes.

Your key responsibilities will include supporting multiple change initiatives across the EMEA Indirect Tax Reporting function, providing support for an indirect tax reporting system implementation, including activities such as design, deployment, implementation coordination and project management, contributing to the project team in scrums and assisting in liaison between the project team and EMEA tax reporting team, and contributing to the development and maintenance of the requirements backlog, participation in design workshops, testing and rollout.

You will also be responsible for:
  • identifying opportunities to streamline and automate processes within the tax reporting function to reduce risk and improve efficiency
  • subject matter expert on indirect tax specifically in relation to process redesign and automation
  • focusing on data governance and control framework as key to indirect tax transformation
  • working with our global implementation partners on designing test cases and reviewing testing outputs
  • updating of relevant process materials due to changes implemented during the transformation project
  • providing guidance and support to regional tax reporting teams during the transformation and go live period.


To be successful in this role, you will have significant similar experience in a tax reporting system implementation; an indirect tax compliance background; the ability to work well under pressure; a strong Financial and Risk control mindset; a flexible, dedicated and solution orientated approach with the ability to work effectively through periods of change and disruption; excellent communication skills; strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines; advanced MS Excel and Visio skills; and practical experience of Power BI and Alteryx.
