Tax Analyst required to work in an unique role across multiple jurisdictions for a leading Private Equity firm.

The tax function at Coller Capital, a leading Private Equity secondaries firm, is a highly motivated and successful team. The role will provide a top-calibre and driven candidate with an opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of tax issues spanning multiple jurisdictions.

 

The role includes tax compliance, reporting and advisory work for the active funds advised by Coller Capital Limited. The candidate will provide support in the compilation and distribution of tax information for internal and external recipients whilst coordinating with external providers across multiple jurisdictions. Ensuring the funds’ ongoing compliance with global tax regulations and managing the operation of fund structures from a tax perspective will be a core part of the role.

 Support will be given to the candidate, if desired, to take professional tax qualifications. The candidate will have the ability to define how they want the role to develop.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Working to tight deadlines, to support all aspects of the funds’ Global tax compliance
  • Analysing large data sets in order to problem-solve a variety of tax-related issues
  • Working with a Big 4 provider on the preparation of tax returns (US and other jurisdictions) for corporate and partnership fund entities
  • Prepare complex reconciliations of multiple entity types
  • Supporting the funds’ ongoing compliance with FATCA, CRS and other global regulations
  • Drafting professional emails / letter to investors, tax authorities and other external stakeholders
  • Day to day management of process timetables and ownership of personal WIP
  • Respond to tax queries, ensuring these are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Assist in documenting process management
  • Balancing with ad-hoc projects as required

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL

  • Highly numerate/analytical
  • Graduate or graduate calibre
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Tax experience (ideally multi-jurisdictional

DESIRABLE

  • Previous experience working in a financial/numbers orientated environment
  • ATT or similar
