Job Background/context:

As the TTS EMEA business continues to grow, one of its primary objectives is to further develop the Risk Management capabilities of the organization and ensure compliance with rules, policies and regulations.  
The primary objective of this role is to manage and continue to enhance the TTS governance model in the UK and to ensure full compliance with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMandCR). The TTS UK Head of Governance will report to the TTS EMEA Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will lead the governance and risk related initiatives in the UK, including Conduct related programmes.

Key responsibilities:

The key areas of responsibility of the role are:
  • Develop and maintain a robust governance framework with clearly defined accountabilities 
  • Lead regular reviews and enhance governance model through continuous improvements 
  • Ensure compliance with ICG and TTS governance, and lead TTS preparations for UK governance forums across Citi and ICG
  • Communicate with TTS EMEA Executive Committee members to ensure alignment on key governance topics
  • Lead risk governance, regulatory change and other project based initiatives in the UK, including planning and execution of Conduct Risk initiatives
  • Engage with key partners on all risk and governance matters, including Compliance, Audit, Risk, Legal, Finance and HR
  • Partner with corporate functions to produce UK legal entity and other risk reports to support the TTS UK governance model; develop data management and reporting capabilities for TTS UK
  • Identify and escalate emerging risks to the TTS EMEA COO and relevant senior management
  • Promote culture of risk awareness and clear risk ownership in TTS UK
  • Perform general corporate secretarial duties, including coordination of TTS governance meetings, tracking of key deliverables, maintaining accurate records 
  • Maintain and update constituent documents, such as committee charters, register of authorized signers, Certified Persons and organisation charts

  • Bachelor Degree (Master Degree desirable) 
  • Preferable qualification in Risk Management  

  • Knowledge of UK regulatory regimes for financial institutions
  • Extensive years of  experience of UK Corporate Governance at a Financial services firm
  • Experience in leading a wide range of governance and corporate secretarial activities
  • Experience in leading initiatives and driving change
