Team Profile:
Trade and Transaction Reporting Operations (TTRO) is responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of transactions reflective of the obligations for the jurisdictions in which the TTRO is reporting. TTRO was launched in 2016 and is presently engaged in: a) the identification and resolution of any outliers in current state reporting; b) development of platforms and processes in accordance with upcoming regulation change and implementation thereof; c) strategic design of future state information technology and, when required, tactical implementations ahead of strategic change. TTRO liaise with various internal and external counterparties on a daily basis, including OTC, listed derivative and financing Operations teams, sales trading representatives, non-market risk leads, Legal and Compliance teams, information technology and utilities such as DTCC, plus Unavista. The criticality of the function ensures senior management engagement and a high profile for those in the team.

TTRO has a physical presence in London, Glasgow, Hong Kong, Mumbai and New York. The team has expanded rapidly in the past 6 months with the addition thus far of 30 resources into Operations and 90 into IT. We now seek to hire an Operations-based resource with strong Compliance experience to assist in the refinement of existing first line assurance processes and staff training. The individual would be expected to leverage their own knowledge plus that of global SME’s where appropriate to build out a global assurance and training program. As defined under Primary Responsibilities, the incumbent will need to be flexible in regards to their operating style, moving as needed between strategic leadership and tactical deep diving when required.

Primary Responsibilities

As to be expected in an evolving area, the role is likely to be dynamic and the incumbent will be required to demonstrate some degree of flexibility in response to the opportunities evident in the Team Profile. That being said, there will be several key responsibilities, which include:
1) Formal training program within global TTRO to ensure that all staff are appropriately trained in the regulatory reporting requirements and the jurisdictions for which TTRO report
2) Documented training materials, which line management will induct into BAU procedures and control framework
3) Depth charts and testing developed to attest staff knowledge
4) Means by which staff can assess learning and knowledge in a timely manner (e.g. FAQ, Sharepoint, JIVE etc)
5) Partnering with line management, implement On the Job Training materials
6) Incorporate external materials such as knowledge points from DTCC, Unavista
7) To be a sought out, detailed, subject matter expert in regulations pertaining to transaction reporting
8) To provide informed first line guidance to TTRO and Operations management (understanding the rules and how to interpret those rules)
9) To operate as a strategic leader but to also be hands-on when and as required. The incumbent will need to speak with authority at a senior level but will similarly be expected to personally deep-dive into issues and processes, data flows, in order to provide elements of tertiary compliance. This is an important requirement particularly at a time when TTRO is undergoing significant, future-focused change
10) To partner with global stakeholders and to represent Global Trade and Transaction Reporting Operations teams in various internal forums;
11) To contribute to the thought leadership surrounding industry development in trade and transaction reporting;
12) To uphold and deliver upon the Firm’s and Operations - Core Values and People Agenda

Reporting to the Global Head of TTRO Risk Management in Glasgow, with strong ties to the Global Head of TTRO, London, the incumbent will be required to work fairly autonomously, to be highly credible as the -go to- person for management, Operations, business units and IT seeking TTRO compliance guidance. They will need to have strong communication and teamwork skills that enable them to work with the global team.

To reiterate - expert awareness in regulations pertaining to trade and transaction reporting with the ability to operate across the spectrum of senior strategic and tactical deep dive responsibilities are key requirements of the role.
