Sr Research Analyst, Smartphone

The smartphone senior research analyst will be responsible for primary and secondary data collection for use in market estimations, historical branded shipments, and informing forecasts. The analyst will also be able to write thoughtful and comprehensive analysis for use in syndicated reports, custom consulting projects, and tailored presentations to clients and at industry events. A good candidate will have:

  • Strong Excel skills are a must, with experience in database management and modeling a strong preference.
  • Be able to review large amounts of data using experience and analysis to highlight interesting findings and identify problematic data.
  • Able to write clearly and comprehensively with well thought out and reasoned analysis.
  • Industry connections to potential clients and information sources in the mobile phone industry, preferably in the European region
  • Be comfortable giving presentations in a variety of settings from intimate client meetings to industry conferences
  • Ability to communicate effectively by email and other remote methods to colleagues located around the world.

Knowledge And Skills
  • Knowledge of MS applications required (Excel, Word and PowerPoint); experience with databases preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Solid presentation skills.
  • Organization skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be flexible with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all co-workers in different time zones.


  • Knowledge of smartphone hardware (displays, sensors, ICs, etc.) is a strong plus

Education and Certifications

  • University degree (Bachelors or equivalent) in Engineering or Business would be desirable but not essential
