Our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team lead 24x7 engineering and operational support for the technology underpinning Winton’s core investment management business. Reporting to the Head of SRE, you will develop a deep understanding of both Winton’s business and software stack. You will work within a team who are dedicated to achieving operational excellence with the ability to effect meaningful change on trading-critical production systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure operational stability of all production systems, ranging from execution through to data transformation pipelines
  • Develop and deliver tactical solutions to business teams in order to meet their requirements in a timely manner
  • Ensure the availability and timeliness in the flow of data from various external sources into Winton
  • Proactively contribute to our monitoring and alerting systems
  • Participate in on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support for our critical global operations 


What We're Looking For: 

  • An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and great communication skills
  • Experience in a site reliability engineering/support focused role, or development role with operational support experience
  • Ability to program with one or more high level languages (such as Python, C#), proficiency in SQL
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (such as Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, Argo CD) 


What Would Be Useful: 

  • Experience working with cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
