Service Desk Analyst wanted for a Bank in the City of London.

Key Job Functions

1st and 2nd line support of CM's trading room systems infrastructure

  • To be able to quickly identify and resolve the majority of trading systems and application issues
  • To have a very good understanding of CM's trading room systems, systems infrastructure and core applications

Desktop and Server hardware and software build

  • Maintain automated build for workstations and Citrix VDI images
  • Administration, configuration and support of CM's workstation and server infrastructure.
  • To have a very good knowledge of CM's infrastructure and to be able to support and enhance that infrastructure through the use of industry standard management tools.

Administration, configuration and support of CM's trading and operations applications.

  • Maintain high availability production environment.
  • Administration and support of the workstation and server environment at CM's business continuity site.

Deliverable:

  • Ensure that the workstation and server environment at CM's business continuity site is fully operational and ready for use 24/7
  • Workstation patching, test and deploy patches to ensure stability of environment

Key Skills & Abilities

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Confidence in building working relationships, communicating and supporting senior management and traders with IT issues
  • Collaborative working with others based in IT systems team in London and other locations
  • Ability to analyse in order to understand an issue and recommend the best and most appropriate solution
  • Ability to apply and enhance own technical knowledge. Ensuring that that this is kept up to date with industry advancements and that knowledge is shared with other team members
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, ensuring that the highest possible levels of service are provided to CM end users with limited disruption to IT systems

  • Active Directory
