Senior Project Manager - Securities Finance Solution Implementations

FIS Securities Finance solutions assist all securities finance market participants achieve greater transparency, efficiency and automation in an evolving market place. Our solutions provide a consolidated platform for an adaptive enterprise, incorporating trading, inventory and operations that supports principal, agency or hybrid securities finance models for the entire range of treasury, delta one, repo, securities lending and borrowing.

Position Responsibilities/Requirements Overview:

In the position of Senior Project Manager for FIS you will be responsible for the delivery of solutions and services project management, internal partnering as well as external client management. The chosen candidate will also have responsibility for the project management of FIS/SSF implementation of software solutions while coordinating the efforts of local, regional and potentially global project teams. This position requires you to manage to designated revenue targets while delivering projects in a cost effective and profitable manner. The successful candidate who fills this position will be required to travel periodically to meet project needs.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Achieving defined financial targets, revenue forecasting and project planning involving multiple implementation sites and solutions.
  • Coordination of activities across multiple product lines including any implementation, technical, development, account management and support related personnel ensuring that a unified and integrated solution is ultimately delivered.
  • Creation of a supportive, team atmosphere ensuring that all team members from various solutions act in the broader interest of the customer.
  • Development of scoping/requirements gathering exercises in advance of project engagements
  • Creation of a supportive, team atmosphere ensuring that all team members from various products act in the broader interest of the customer.
  • Managing consultant's performance on assigned projects, providing domain expertise where needed and to a lesser extent support and mitigate the risk of any process re-engineering within the managed integrated solution as delivered.
  • Ability to scope the timing, financial and functional requirements of projects via Statement of Work and Project Plan-based documentation, along with ongoing maintenance of the Project Plan in coordination with your assigned clients and keeping management apprised of the project status.
  • Closely monitor and mitigate project risks as they are identified via avenues such as change management and executive level steering committee meetings.
  • Manage the client relationship and expectations while developing relationships at a senior level.
  • Creating weekly status documents including milestone, budgeting, action item and consultant scheduling information, while keeping frequent communication with your customers through regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Ensure any work outside the Statement of Work is communicated to the appropriate FIS groups. Responsible for reviewing and adhering to client's contractual obligations, including strict adherence to the change management policies outlined in a Statement of Work and documented client requirements.
  • Ensure any policies and procedures are being followed with regards to billing, travel and expenses.

Qualifications
:

The Ideal candidate needs to have at proven relevant work experience within the Financial Services industry with business, product, technology or related experience. Proven experience in structured Project Management required, with certification strongly preferred.

Requires excellent presentation and communication skills, and requires some travel.
