Fin Tech is part of the Technology & Data department. This group is responsible for developing Finance applications for a diverse set of businesses including Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities and Investment Banking. A program to identify, source and renovate the use of trading data across finance IT systems is being formed. This will be a multi-year initiative, working across trading, risk and finance platforms to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of trading data into finance systems. Additionally the program will drive the adoption of strategic trading data feeds across finance IT, ensuring the reliability and provenance of the trading data which drives financial control processes.
This project requires a project manager/technical business analyst who will have strong understanding of a number of asset classes, of trading and risk platforms and of financial control process. The role will require the analysis of existing finance system data feeds, their attributes, requirements and usage, understanding of the current and future state architecture of these platforms and direct liaison with the trading and risk IT teams to deliver strategic feeds into the finance system stack.
Additionally the candidate would be responsible for the creation and execution of projects to further adoption of these feeds through the Finance system stack. It is expected that this role will allow significant opportunity for involvement in and influence of the strategic architecture for Finance IT. Qualifications: Skills Required
Experience working within investment banking, with knowledge of sales and trading across a number of asset classes.
Led a team of software engineers in global teams.
Managed a programme of projects.
Strong Business Analysis Skills in the Finance (Controllers) domain.
Strong understanding of multiple asset classes, trading capture and risk.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to architect and design strategic solutions.
Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership of tasks and projects, able to work with the global team, and manage time and tasks effectively and independently.
Experience in all aspects of software development life cycle including production support and QA
