To monitor and develop the St. James’s Place Wealth Management suite of multi-asset investment solutions. This includes taking responsibility for key elements of portfolio construction process, supporting the design of outcome focused multi asset fund of fund portfolios and proactively contributing to ongoing evolution of market leading investment processes.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead design, monitoring and development of SJP and third party multi asset fund of funds to facilitate industry leading client outcomes
  • Take responsibility to maintain and proactively develop key elements of the investment process and frameworks, exploring opportunities for automation to maximise efficiency and lower risk
  • Actively contribute to investment idea generation across the range of multi-asset portfolios to continually challenge asset allocation and the fund selection of multi asset portfolios
  • Ensure ESG factors are considered at portfolio level and actively innovate to maximise St. James’s Place ability to deliver financial wellbeing in a world worth living in
  • Support delivery of bespoke portfolio guidance for sophisticated clients to demonstrate outstanding service
  • Promote understanding of current/future multi asset portfolio range through regular publications and ad hoc presentations
  • Support with building and shaping the Portfolio Strategies team, assisting in recruitment of junior analysts to ensure members of the team have the necessary skills and competencies to deliver the required levels of performance  

Who we’re looking for:  

With an advanced understanding of the financial markets you will have an ability to analyse the impact of the market environment and communicate this to stakeholders.  Including: 

  • In depth knowledge and experience of a broad range of asset classes, investment styles and portfolio construction theory
  • Ability to critically evaluate and enhance key investment processes
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly using Microsoft Excel
  • Relevant professional qualifications through CFA, CISI exams or equivalent
