We are currently representing a large, global family-owned investment firm. Their International Private Equity team is based here in London and makes both direct investments and co-investments across North America and Western Europe. They are looking to add a Senior Investment Manager to their Investment Team here in London.

The Ideal Candidate

  • BA/BS in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 6-8+ years' experience in private equity
  • Demonstrated track record of academic and professional success
  • Sound private equity investment experience covering buyouts and ideally co-investments
  • Proven ability to represent firm in written and interpersonal communications
  • Developed investment judgement with demonstrable understanding of risk/reward trade-offs
  • Flexibility-all professionals are expected to perform multiple functions as the firm continues to grow and develop
  • Smart but Humble and be mature, should be willing to go the extra mile
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK

The Role

  • Source and lead investment opportunities
  • Interpret financial analyses, including investment track records/financial statements and prepare valuation analyses on private companies using a variety of metrics
  • Perform market research using publicly available information and proprietary databases to identify, quantify and analyse macroeconomic trends across a variety of industry sectors
  • Financial modelling, including basic leveraged buyout and cash flow analysis
  • Mainly focused on co-investing and minority direct investments
  • Use creativity to source and analyse data and to test hypotheses regarding attractiveness of specific sectors and investment opportunities
  • Monitor the performance of the Firm's existing investment portfolio, fund managers and underlying portfolio companies; prepare for and participate in meetings with assigned managers, and conduct on-going due diligence
