Prudential UK Treasury and Investment Office (PPMG) is responsible for the management of Prudential UK's With-Profits, Annuity and Unit-Linked funds, with more than £170bn of funds under management. PPMG works closely with the various asset management businesses within the Prudential Group, and other external managers, to structure multi-asset portfolios aligned with the investment objectives of the relevant client group.

The Role:

To join PPMG alternatives team as a Senior Operational Due Diligence Analyst. Deliver operational due diligence reviews (non-investment DD) ensuring all alternative investments meet the minimum standards required by PPMG to make an investment. The process requires that both pre-investment and on-going due diligence is undertaken ensuring that information is current and relevant on all alternative investments and that the Alternatives Investment Committee is kept fully abreast of any relevant non-investment issues surrounding these holdings.

Your Key Responsibilities will be:

• Undertake and complete operational due diligence on new and existing managers.
• Present the key findings from pre-investment and on-going DD to the Alternatives Investment Committee.
• Provide ongoing monitoring of ODD, review of financial statements and operational changes.
• Assist in corporate actions relating to fund investment, relevant projects, data gathering and reference checks.
• Stay current with all industry and regulatory developments to ensure the process adapts over time and remains relevant.
• Ability to communicate to managers improvements in their operational practices.
• Assist in improving and building out current practices along with supporting junior members of the team.

You will have:

We are looking for an experienced ODD Analyst, ideally degree educated, with knowledge of private assets along with operational processes, fund documentation, financial statements, regulation and compliance as they relate to private equity, infrastructure and hedge funds.

You will need experience of working across different regulatory regimes and knowledge of industry best practice in the above areas and using this knowledge to negotiate on PPMG's behalf to achieve appropriate terms for our investment.

• Good understanding of the counterparties associated with alternatives
• Knowledge of listed investments
• Team player who can also work autonomously
• Willingness to take ownership and accountability for delivery
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deliverables
• An analytical approach with a proactive, 'can-do' attitude
• Strong written and oral communication skills
