Senior Manager, Legal Operations at Checkout.com:

Checkout.com is seeking a Legal Operations Senior Manager to join our in-house Legal team to support business priorities, growth and expansion!

As the Senior Manager, Legal Operations, you'll support the Senior Director of Legal Operations in the design, build and implementation of a legal operating strategy and an operating model for the in-house team that matches the needs of the business and aligns with the organisation's strategic objectives. You'll ensure the engagement and buy-in from both legal and relevant business colleagues.

You and your team will ensure both the strategic design and practical implementation of operational improvements or projects to ensure scalability and operational efficiency, specifically focused on driving value from third-party providers, ownership of the legal technology architecture and take a lead role in innovative solution design and change management.

Critical to the success of this role will be an ability to get going quickly, focusing on critical priorities and generally helping the team build upon its success.

What you'll be doing
    • Development and oversight of a consistent approach to commercial management aimed at driving value from relationships with third parties.
    • Full oversight of technology products utilised by legal, identification of gaps in the architecture and innovative solution design to enhance legal services.
    • Develop and implement a data strategy to gain better quality management information. This will combine data capture with reporting and analysis to enable more effective decision making and better legal team management.
    • Own the reporting on the legal team's performance, and the value we add, to the wider business and to management.
    • Proactively engage on other legal initiatives as required, contributing and being a trusted partner to the legal teams.
About you
    • An individual who has experience of leading change in a legal function preferably in a high-paced business environment.
    • Developed experience, as well as experience in a high growth environment is advantageous.
    • A proven balance of strategic thinking and operations.
    • Direct/ in-direct management experience is preferable.
    • Strong collaborator, communicator with the ability to influence colleagues across organisations and ability to utilise the capabilities of peers, business partners and legal team members.
    • Strong business judgement, communication abilities, and analytical skills.
    • Experience in delivering strategic initiatives.
    • A pragmatic thought process, always aiming for simplicity and efficiency.
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
