Globally, they are the leading provider of proprietary over the counter pricing information and a unique source of data on financial, energy and commodities products. Their market data is independent, unbiased and non-position influenced.

 

Their clients include banks, insurance companies, pension and hedge funds, asset managers, energy producers and refiners as well as risk and compliance managers and charities 

Job Specification:

They need someone who can provide SME input into the maintenance and development of the Financial Risk Management Framework (as well as associated framework documentation).

Set and track the financial risk components of the Group’s Annual Risk Plan.

Provide input into the maintenance and development of the Group risk appetite framework in respect of financial risk, and the operationalisation of risk appetite through the adoption of appropriate front office broking limits.

Ongoing monitoring of the Group’s financial risk profile against risk appetite through monitoring of performance against Risk Appetite Thresholds and related KRIs, and ensure that an appropriate risk response is adopted for any breaches of risk appetite.

Supporting the delivery of the Group’s risk identification, evaluation and assessment processes, including emerging risks.

Providing SME review and challenge of the Group’s Risk Management Standards, including minimum control standards and risk metric requirements.

Assist with delivering the Group’s stress testing programme as it relates to financial risk.

Provide SME input into the Group’s Risk Committee reporting.

Provide SME input into the Group’s risk-related regulatory submissions, including the ICAAP process

Support the Head of FRM in providing ongoing financial risk training and business engagement.

Providing SME input into the development, configuration and ongoing maintenance of the Group’s financial risk models • Establish and maintain effective business relationships with key internal clients

 

Risk Responsibilities: 

Ensure that you understand the risks and controls on your department; what could go wrong, what controls you have to prevent/detect or contain these. 

 

Ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.

Report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as described in the policy.

Escalate risk events immediately and log them within 24 hours using the risk event capture form on the intranet.

Provide input if requested to the Risk and Control Self-Assessment process, scenario analysis, ‘Deep Dive’ reviews and any other risk management processes, as required.
