The Insurance Team in Financial Management works with leading Insurers, focussing on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of their Finance functions. In today’s environment, Finance must demonstrate their value to the business by producing insightful reports, managing risk, reducing costs and maintaining financial controls. 



The Role

- Delivery management:

Lead client delivery engagements / large workstreams on behalf of engagement partners / directors

Accountable for the successful delivery of the engagement deliverables and client outcomes

Recognise as a subject matter expert in the area of Finance systems and/or data architecture solutions


- Business Development:

Support Partners & directors in driving business development and sales activities

Lead and/or support the development of proposals and sales pitches

Lead development of solution prototypes and re-usable accelerators, methodology and tools in the areas of Finance Data & Systems implementations.

Develop innovative and client issue-led Go-to-market propositions


- People management & talent development:

Lead teams in client delivery and internal practice management initiatives

Act as formal performance manager for junior members of the team

Support the development of junior team members through formal training, informal coaching & mentoring capacities



The Person

Skills & Experience:
 
-Awareness of Finance function processes and operating model
-Strong work ethics
-Significant and relevant Finance Data & Systems transformation consulting experience in financial services
-Ability to build strategic and deep client relationships at the senior management and heads of function level in client organisations.

Subject matter expert proficiency in the majority of the following areas:
-Finance systems architecture
-General ledger and financial reporting systems design and implementation
-Data architecture design and implementation
-Data management & governance
-Cloud based systems design and delivery methodology

Technical experience:
-ERP / Accounting rules:  Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle EBS FAH, Workday, Aptitude, SAP
-BI:  Qliksense, Powered BI, Business Object, Tableau
-Data:  SQL, Relational DB, ETL, NoSQL technology
- IFRS17 Experience desirable but not essential
