Your role
As a Senior Manager/Manager in our Risk Analytics practice you will be working collaboratively across the data, analytics and AI domains, helping some of the largest, most interesting organisations in the world imagine, deliver and run the future - transforming complex business requirements into practical, implementable solutions.

Within our Risk Analytics Financial Services team you will have the opportunity to gain a breadth of insight across a diverse range of prestigious financial sector clients both in the UK and internationally. Your Responsibilities
  • Supporting the delivery of client engagements, ranging from high-value advisory work through to large scale engineering execution of data and analytical transformation projects with our Retail and Commercial Banking clients
  • Identifying and leveraging new technologies to develop data focused solutions that can help address our client needs - this could be anything from how to manage and address Conduct, Operational or Financial Risk to developing a forward thinking cloud migration strategy
  • Leading client discussions and advising on data technologies that meet client needs, including data storage, batch and streaming data processing, data transformation and analytics
  • Design and implementation of Analytics technologies to deliver an Analytics / Information Management strategy
  • Help our clients become insight driven by leveraging your engineering expertise in data management, governance, utilizing machine learning and visualisation
  • Contributing to the development of innovative products and services that respond to market developments and the changing risk landscape
  • Developing the people around you to create a network of specialists we can draw from to support clients in their data challenges

Your professional experience
  • Extensive practical experience in data engineering, ideally around data infrastructure, data pipeline development, big data processing, batch and real-time processing and parallel computing within the financial sector
  • Understanding and experience of Cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure)
  • Experience with a number of data processing tools and languages (e.g. Spark, Apache Beam, Kafka, Flink, Python, R, Java, Impala, Hive, Pig, SQL etc)
  • Exposure to data science tooling (e.g. R, Python, Alteryx) and Big data tools (e.g. Hadoop, Spark)
  • Strong planning, organisation and people management skills
  • Have worked in agile delivery teams with DevOps ways of working to continuously deliver iterative deployments with experience in using Jira, Git Repositories, Confluence, or similar
  • Designing and implementing Event based and streaming data ingestion and processing
  • Evidence of taking a leadership role on projects delivering technical change
  • The ability to determine client needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches
  • Demonstrate the ability to constructively challenge and work in a collaborative environment
  • Experience working with senior management to understand the data vision, review and recommend a data strategy that fits the clients profile and deliver complex solutions that drive commercial value
