The Position
This team is responsible for delivering high-performance and client-facing software for the company’s internal and external clients. Robust, scalable code underpins the success of the firm’s trading. The team is responsible for the design and development of, but not limited to: core pricing engines, quote allocation, distribution through various venues, and implementation of post-trade analytics tools, expanding infrastructure and software to new asset classes. In this team, you will able to rapidly and accurately optimise, adapt and extend existing trading systems to accommodate changing market conditions and business requirements.

Skills/Requirements

  • Strong production level programming skills utilising Core (OO) Java 
  • Experience coding complex, multi-threaded and concurrent Java. 
  • Experience working on high performance, low-latency distributed systems in production
  • Experience with high-frequency ECN connectivity and Integration
  • Experience maintaining and optimising FIX gateway code
  • Experience working on real-time Electronic Trading platforms, eFX would be beneficial 
  • Excellent network protocol fundamentals knowledge.


Candidate profile
You will have a minimum of three years’ relevant hands-on software development experience, preferably in an Electronic Trading systems environment. You will have an excellent academic achievement record from recognised scientific instructions, ideally in Computer Science, but will consider other scientific disciplines if the commercial experience and skills are relevant to the position.
