What will the role involve?
You will have responsibility for managing the day to day relationship of overall Aviva Tax team with selected investment management teams.
You will ensure the development & maintenance of best practice assurance frameworks and processes in a business context around tax and tax risk.
You will be delivering support for the wider tax team as required on investment tax matters.
The role has a varied and wide-ranging remit, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement, and so requires someone who thrives in an environment where they will have multiple deliverables to manage.
What skills, experience and qualifications are we looking for?
You will be a qualified accountant or tax professional.
You will have experience of corporate tax, income tax, capital gains tax, VAT, stamp duty and overseas tax regimes.
You will have a solid working knowledge of tax technical issues for traditional and alternative investments.
You will be experienced in effective governance around investment management and fund operation.
Experience in-house and preferably within the asset management industry will be highly desirable.
