We are working with the market leading investment arm of a life and pensions business who looking for a Senior Investment Manager to join their Investment team. This opportunity would be ideal for investment analysts looking to work in a dynamic role in fund whose AUM is growing by roughly 1bn per annum.

Reporting directly into the Deputy Chief Investment Officer the focus of the role will be to assist in leading the execution of the companies’ investment strategy. In addition, you will perform research and evaluation of new asset classes, investment managers and funds. Some of the role involves further ad hoc projects including investment aspects of Solvency II, transforming asset portfolios, internalizing externally provided services (and vice versa), changing service providers, day to day management of internal/ external stakeholders.

Required Skills

• Substantial experience in a bank, insurance company, asset manager or consultancy.
• CFA or Actuarial qualification essential.
• Long only investing, with the ability and interest to develop further.
• Knowledge of the investment process within a life business and investing on behalf of liability driven investors.
• Investment matters and strategies, in particular credit.
• Solid understanding of risk evaluation techniques.
• Perform deep and unbiased research.

Salary of £80,000 - £100,000 plus competitive benefits
