One of our client, a leading investment management company specialising in media, Infrastructure, real estate is looking to hire a Senior Internal Business Development Manager to join their growing team within the City.
Key Accountabilities Coordinate activities of the Internal Business Development Group Co-ordinate activities of the Internal Business Development Group to ensure effective support of the Senior Business Development Directors Be a driving force with the IBDM group to meet and exceed targets as agreed with the Senior Business Development Directors Ensure accurate and appropriate use of CRM by the IBDM group Allocate central administrative duties on a rotation basis to ensure deadlines are met and workload is equally distributed amongst IBDMs Ensure key events have the required support and timely follow up Encourage consistency and sharing of best practice amongst the IBDM group Encourage and mentor less experienced members of the group, supporting the team in improving its ability to pro-actively engage with its client base through mainly video/phone and email interactions Produce reports and MI as required by the Senior Business Development Directors Provide personal business development support to the Senior Business Development Directors Build and maintain relationships with Advisers in conjunction with support from the Senior Business Development Directors where appropriate Position yourself and Ingenious as a trusted business partner alongside the Senior Business Development Directors Conduct research on prospective clients Proactively contact new and existing clients as agreed with the Senior Business Development Directors Follow up on meetings and events, providing further support as required Produce preparation for meetings to be attended by the Senior Business Development Directors Proactively seek opportunities to cross-sell/upsell where appropriate, involving the Senior Business Development Director as required Manage the sales pipeline, regularly updating CRM Work collegiately and effectively with the Client Services team to manage client queries To be cognisant of potential new business opportunities within the market. Deliver against Key Performance Indicators as set by the Senior Business Development Director Role Requirements Demonstrable success in an internal/remote sales environment Confident with Excel, including pivot tables, data manipulation and analysis and creating MI packs Strong planning and organising skills Time management of self and relatively junior staff Proven track record in developing relationships within the adviser/intermediary market A driven, competitive individual with the ambition and the desire to achieve targets A confident and strong communicator, familiar and comfortable with a variety of formats such as Teams and Zoom Sound judgement, adaptability and the ability to influence others Experience of sales of VCTs/EIS, Inheritance Tax / Estate Planning / Later Life or Trust based solutions. Specific experience of Business Relief qualifying investments and relationships with Advisers who recommend such solutions is highly desirable is preferable.
