An opportunity exists for the appointment of a Senior Income Accountant in the Income Team within the Financial Reporting Team.

The Income Team is responsible for the accounting and control of actual income data, production of plans, forecasts and associated statutory and management information for income across all business units and entities.

The team interacts with all Finance teams and the Business - in conjunction with the Commercial Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

Area of Direct responsibility - Fixed Income Institutional

  • Responsibility for production of monthly external income management accounts. This will include income earned from Segregated Institutional clients, Alternative Credit, Leveraged Loans, Fixed Income Restructuring and other Private Finance income streams.
  • Production of rolling forecast (three years) for the area under responsibility.
  • Responsible for reviewing all inputs into the management accounts including funds under management.
  • Play a lead role and drive the on-going development of external income reporting.
  • Working with the Commercial Finance team to ensure that all new funds are correctly accounted for.
  • Review and monitoring of Investment Management Agreements ensuring that these agreements reflect current billing arrangements in line with the semi-annual SOx controls.
  • Seek to develop and improve processes on an ongoing basis.
  • Proactively build relationships and work effectively with Middle Office, Front Office Admin teams and other Finance teams.
  • Provide support as needed to relevant business and project developments
  • Provide input and analysis to wider finance department.
  • Provide variance analysis on key movements between actuals, budget, rolling forecast changes and review the overall comments for External Fixed Income.

Reporting Line

This role reports to the Finance Manager.

Direct Reports

This role will be responsible for a part/newly qualified accountant.
