Deliver business value through sound and fully rounded engineering methods and principles, ensuring platforms and software are built consistently with relevant patterns and practices. Able to continually develop themselves with industry best practice methods and tooling used across their engineering teams.

Job Description

As a FED in Engineering:

You will work in a highly collaborative way to drive efforts to create, build, support and improve our frontend client software

You will be working closely with the product and engineering teams with lots of exciting new challenges

Youi will be a core contributor to ensure good quality and engineering practices are followed in accordance will engineering transformation strategy

You will be reporting to Lab Engineering Lead.

Key Accountabilities:

Build efficient and reusable front-end systems and abstractions

Find and address performance issues.

Participate in design and code reviews.

Identify general improvements and implement front-end best practices.

Collaborate with the product/design team to iterate the design function and implement the products.

Collaborate with Backend and DevOps Engineers to build features and experiments..

Right Candidate to have

A “can-do” attitude, capability of bootstrapping projects, and ability to effectively work with multi-disciplinary, internal and external distributed teams across the project lifecycle.

Strong knowledge of JavaScript.

Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling, such as Reactjs, Redux, Webpack

Experience on Front-End test automation

Familiarity with server-side REST APIs

Commanding grasp of HTML, CSS, and related web technologies

Strong Computer Science fundamentals

Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations

Demonstrated design and UX sensibilities
