Senior Financial Crime Consultant

The Opportunity

An exciting role to support the Head of Financial Crime Compliance in providing specialist advice and analysis in all financial crime compliance matters. You will support the enhancement and maintenance of the financial crime compliance framework, working closely with the Compliance team as whole and business stakeholders. There will be a specific focus on the maintenance of anti-bribery & corruption and facilitation of tax evasion controls but will cover all areas of financial crime.

Your responsibilities will be

As a Financial Crime Compliance Consultant your main responsibilities will be:

* Continue to embed and enhance M&G Prudential's financial crime compliance framework.
* Embed the ABC and Preventing Tax Evasion control framework.
* Working with business units to monitor and enhance the ABC due diligence requirements for all 3rd party relationships.
* Support in the provision of advice and guidance on ABC and tax evasion matters.
* Dealing with significant complex ABC and tax evasion issues requiring detailed analysis and/or external legal advice.
* Proactively scanning for legislation changes and global financial crime compliance developments.
* Responsible for appropriate financial crime compliance (incl. ABC and tax evasion) related language in contractual documentation.
* Undertaking and analysing financial crime risk assessments.
* Identifying and delivering tailored training to employees that are at a high risk of being exposed to bribery and/or tax evasion and other financial crime.
* Act as the escalation point for Gifts and hospitality referrals and issues.
* Using MI and other data to build dashboards, reports and reporting metrics.
* Ad hoc project work relating to other financial crime matters as required.

What we are looking for

The successful candidate will have Financial Crime experience in the asset management industry but is not essential.
You will have a high level of knowledge and experience with all financial crime legislation to include the UK Bribery Act and US Foreign Corrupt Practices.
Also, a high level of knowledge of the Criminal Finances Act and the Criminal Corporate Offences.

You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, including confidence in the interactions with senior levels on management.
Good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and adapt well to chance in a face paced and demanding environment.
