Senior Financial Controller, Global Offshore Wind Development - Green Investment Group
This is a great opportunity to join the Green Investment Group's newly formed Offshore Wind Development business as Senior Financial Controller, and help support the transition to a low carbon, sustainable global economy.
Green Investment Group's global offshore wind business is responsible for the successful management and delivery of a pipeline of 15+ GW of offshore wind projects, the origination of new opportunities and partnerships as well as the provision of asset management and advisory services to third party investors. In this newly created role, you will form part of the Finance team, based in London.
As Senior Financial Controller, you will lead the Finance Team in ensuring Green Investment Group's standards of financial control, financial planning and financial reporting are incorporated into all projects. This role will involve the implementation and shaping of new finance systems including a general ledger and statutory reporting and consolidation systems, the creation of financial policies and procedures and ensuring that appropriate controls, interfaces and reporting are in place.
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a strong financial control environment and designing and overseeing the delivery of high quality, timely management information, financial reporting and analysis of the business for senior stakeholders and those monitoring projects. You will also oversee the delivery of robust budgeting, forecasting and capital planning for the business. Providing financial input to deals will also be required.
You will also ensure the preparation of financial reports which are in accordance with Macquarie Group's governance and risk management standards and ensure appropriate accounting policies are adopted and applied for project, Management and Group reporting. In addition, you will oversee the delivery of annual statutory reporting and will manage effective working relationships with internal and external parties including investment partners, Financial Management Group, Tax, external auditors, outsource service providers and advisors.
To perform at the appropriate level in this role, you will be a Chartered Accountant with at least ten years' post qualification experience of leading a team in a financial control environment coupled with good technical knowledge of IFRS. In addition, experience of the implementation of finance systems would be highly desirable, as would Foreign language skills and experience of working in the renewables industry.
