Winton’s Execution Development team develops and maintains applications to manage orders and provide access to global financial markets for order execution. We face an interesting challenge. Our existing investment strategies are expanding to new markets and asset classes. New investment strategies bring new execution requirements. Faster, more frequent, more flexible execution. Greater levels of automation. These requirements push the boundaries of our existing systems.

We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced C# developer to join us. You will be a key part of a small team evolving this complex, mission-critical software.

Responsibilities:

  • Write and maintain good quality, well tested code
  • Work closely with execution traders and portfolio managers to understand how we can best meet their needs
  • Contribute to the architectural evolution of our systems
  • Full stack development, server-side and UI
  • Contribute actively to team meetings, participate in code reviews and mentor junior colleagues


What We’re Looking For:

  • Expert proficiency in C#
  • SQL experience
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with colleagues from across our technology and investment teams
  • Practical experience working with large, complex software systems
  • Practical experience working with other people's code
  • Passion for programming best practices such as test-driven development and domain driven design


What Would be Useful:

  • Previous domain experience in electronic trading
  • Python, C++, .NET 5.0
  • Cloud development, ideally on AWS with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Multi-threading, scalability, server-side, UX
