MG102 - Senior Direct Marketing Manager

A highly established pension provider is looking to enhance and retain their 8 million members. This new role sits in the Customer Engagement Directorate which sit in the heart of business with large budgets invested into product change, research, marketing campaigns and digital innovation.


In this role, you will:

  • Define the proactive engagement strategy for existing members.
  • Be responsible for creating the annual engagement campaign plan with clear campaign objectives and measures for success.
  • Build an in depth understanding of their member behaviour using campaign results and test and learn approaches.
  • Explore and include new online and offline channels to improve contact and reach within their member base with a focus on email and mobile communications.
  • Manage the budget, creating and getting approval of business cases as and when required.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, in-house creative function and external agencies and suppliers to deliver well targeted engagement campaigns.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Extensive experience of owning and delivering multi-channel direct marketing activity.
  • Strong experience of managing big existing customer base - applying segmentation rules, building messaging strategy, deploying campaigns and refining strategy. Improving retention, cross sell and upsell.
  • The ability to derive insight from channel and commercial data.
  • Strong influencing and engagement skills to manage senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrate evidence of introducing new channels and format to improve effectiveness.
  • Experience of collaborating with cross functional teams, delivering through others and managing changing priorities.
