The role is for a Senior Business Data Analyst to work with the Data Provision Lead in defining and delivering the data quality programme supporting the investment platform. The candidate should understand the requirements for the implementation of a technology solution, operating model and governance framework delivering quality-assured data across the investment platform. The candidate should be able to interact with stakeholders across senior and middle management as well as data stewards.

Manager or Expert:
  • For people managers, accountable for managing and motivating others to ensure quality of delivery to customers and stakeholders
  • For technical specialists, accountable for delivering expert advice or service, using specialist knowledge and subject matter expertise
  • Applies judgement to deliver outcomes, evaluating a range of potential solutions, considering the impact for customers, cost and risk

  • Challenges upwards given knowledge of delivery and awareness of complex systems and the broader picture
  • Identifies and anticipates need for changes to continuously improve quality and efficiency of output
  • Manages resources and risks using expert judgment, know-how and experience

Key Work Level Accountabilities:
  • Accountable for delivering significant portion of the Investment Data Quality Strategy, using specialist knowledge and subject matter expertise
  • Applies judgement to deliver outcomes, evaluating a range of potential solutions, considering the impact for customers, cost and risk
  • Work to deadline and manage conflicts that may impact delivery
  • Challenges upwards given knowledge of delivery and awareness of complex processes and downstream requirements
  • Identifies and anticipates need for changes to continuously improve quality and efficiency of the solution and operating model
  • Manages risks using expert judgment and experience

Key Responsibilities for this role:
  • Work with stakeholders to define the output and support model required to ensure quality and timeliness across the investment platform
  • Define and deliver quality control rules that support the validation and verification of data within the investment, supporting portfolio management and lifecycle management, and the investment data platform supporting client reporting, performance and investment reporting.
  • Deliver an end state operating model for the management and resolution of exceptions and oversight
  • Ensure quality rules adhere to governance standards for application, documentation and
  • To work with Data Architecture and Technology lead in developing the Investment Data Platform
  • To work with Data Governance and Data Management in the implementation of the Data Ownership model
  • To capture the requirements of Data Management and the Investment Business for Data quality
  • To work with Data Management to transition the components of the Investment Data Platform to an operational state
  • To support the Program Lead for the Investment Data Delivery Strategy with the development of the roadmap

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Good understanding of the components and application of Investment Data (Transactions, Positions, Instrument T&Cs, Valuation etc)
  • Experience of large delivery programs
  • Good understanding the agile delivery methodology
  • Good understanding of Data Governance principles
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and orally, within a project team
  • Ability to identify problems and have the drive to follow them through to resolution
  • Excellent attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently to project deadlines
