JOB PURPOSE An interim senior and very experienced business analyst, who has extensive experience of working with the front office. Should possess deep product knowledge in Fixed Income or Commodities, fully understand the front office workflows and be confident to present to and to challenge senior front office personnel. Candidate will be working on a regulatory programme, with a focus on analysis for a platform to provide Best Execution validation and the change needed within pricing and front office workflows.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform in-depth analysis around approach to proving Best Execution across asset classes
  • Manage relationships with key front office and technology stakeholders
  • Propose relevant solutions and translate into clear Functional Specifications
  • Liaise with development teams to ensure that Functional Specifications are understood & implemented correctly
  • Assist the PM with planning of BA tasks
  • Support the test team & business users during the testing phase by making design calls & assisting in issue analysis & resolution

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • Deep experience of Fixed Income or Commodities products (especially OTC derivatives)
  • Full understanding of the front office sales and trading workflows i.e. how products are traded, market structure, trading venues etc
  • Confidence and knowledge to propose solutions to and to challenge senior front office personnel
  • Ability to document business requirements and functional solution designs to a high quality with no ambiguity
  • Proven ability to develop and implement solutions, working individually or as part of a team
  • Pragmatic team player with an attention to detail
  • Excellent communication with both business and technology stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively cross department and geography
  • Proactive and driven individual
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Desirable:

  • Regulatory / MiFID II experience
  • Experience of agile analysis & development
