An opportunity to join a dynamic and growing pan-European financial services group, the Corporate Strategy & Development team appraise, communicate and implement a variety of strategic initiatives with the sole purpose of facilitating business growth. The team enjoys direct communication channels with both C-suite executives and shareholders. As a result, candidates are afforded significant responsibility to shape the strategy of the Bank.

Reporting to the Manager of the Corporate Strategy & Development team, as a Senior Analyst your main responsibilities will include:

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Provide executive management (i.e., CEO, CIO) with detailed, accurate analysis on the banks performance across different business lines
  • Preparation of monthly business updates to the Board of Directors


  • Undertake credit, finance and legal due diligence on prospective M&A targets
  • Run valuations models to validate pricing assumptions
  • Support in the drafting of transaction documents
  • Construct industrial plan(s) to support seamless integration of acquired entity

Strategic initiatives: 

  • Responsibility for the day-to-day workstreams associated with new asset classes, new products, new geographies and/or capital raising activities
  • Tasks include performing market analysis and competitor benchmarking; project management of the project stakeholders, preparing requisite documents to obtain stakeholder approvals (regulator(s), shareholder(s), Board of Directors and internal governance committees)
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing business inputs to the budgeting team
  • Ad hoc commercial analysis for executive management

Required knowledge, skills and experience

  • 2:1 undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance, economics
  • A professional accounting qualification e.g., ACA, ACCA or CIMA would be beneficial
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience (ideally FIG centric) within an M&A, Corporate Development or Big-Four context
  • Commercial and analytical mind-set
  • Ability to work independently
  • Confidence to communicate in a succinct manner with senior executives
  • Ability to manage workflow under strict deadlines
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
