Senior Advisor Information Security – Norges Bank Real Estate Management

Norges Bank Real Estate Management is managing the fund’s unlisted real estate portfolio.

 

Norges Bank Real Estate Management is seeking a dedicated and results oriented professional for the position as Senior Advisor Information Security in the IT team. The IT team is responsible for all IT services in Norges Bank Real Estate Management.

Your role will be to implement and manage the security infrastructure and ensure alignment with our business strategy and internal stakeholder. You will develop metrics for performance measurement, translate the IT-risk requirements into a technical aspect and act as an interface between relevant parties, externally and internally. You will have the opportunity to be a part of an international organisation and influence the development of the IT area.

The position will report to the Head of IT and is located in Oslo or London. Travel will be required.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement information security hardware or software
  • Assess and manage the threat landscape, and provide overview of risks and threats
  • Ensure that NBREM and external parties/vendors are compliant with IT security policies  
  • Foster collaborative working relationships with external and internal stakeholders (contract negotiations, service-level agreements, data and systems related to control framework implementation)
  • Define metrics and reporting strategies to provide updates on progression of the security program
  • Develop and monitor controls and configurations aligned with security policies and legal and audit requirements
  • Manage and coordinate operational components of security incident management, including detection, response and reporting
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of threat and vulnerability management, identify risk tolerances, recommend treatment plans and communicate information about residual risk.

 

 

Main Qualifications:

 

  • University degree with strong academic records
  • Experience within IT or information security
  • Understanding of the business impact of security tools, technologies and policies
  • Ability to work both autonomously, in a team environment and across areas
  • Experience in developing and documenting security architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical and project plans
  • Experience in relating business needs to security controls, and in-depth understanding of information security concepts, protocols, industry best practices and strategies
  • Experience with information security management frameworks, such as International Standards Organization (ISO) 2700x, the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT) frameworks
  • Proficiency in performing risk, business impact, control and vulnerability assessments, and in defining treatment strategies.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms, operating system internals and network protocols
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
