Throgmorton, (part of Link Group) are looking for a recently qualified accountant to join their London based team. Throgmorton provide accountancy services, (not audit) to over 500 clients, ranging from small owner managed businesses all the way through to FTSE Group’s, across a wide variety of different industries but with specialisms in financial services and the natural resources industries.

We are looking for a newly qualified accountant to join the growing London team, to undertake both regular and project based work and help to grow the business in the future.

Job Description
 

The successful applicant will get the opportunity to work across a wide variety of different service lines. They will have a small portfolio of clients for whom they will provide financial control and management reporting services and also have the opportunity to undertake project work across a number of potential other areas. There will be extensive liaison with clients at all seniority levels from bookkeepers through to CFO's.

Day to day work may include the following,

•    Management reporting and results analysis
•    Statutory reporting - UK GAAP and IFRS
•    Preparation for the external audit of your clients and liaison with 3rd party audit firms
•    The provision of technical accountancy advice - including consolidation, acquisition accounting, new IFRS  implementation
•    Systems and controls advisory projects
•    Financial modelling and valuations
•    Opportunity for involvement in Business Development

The successful applicant will also have responsibility for managing junior members of staff on both ongoing work and project work.

This is a fantastic role to both develop your technical accounting and commercial finance expertise.



Qualifications
 

In return for a competitive salary and rewarding career proposition, we anticipate you bringing:

•    Either an ACA or ACCA qualification
•    Significant working experience of both UK GAAP and IFRS
•    Extensive technical accounting knowledge
•    Collaboration skills and evidence of working well within a team environment
•    Ability to pro-actively solve problems and work on your own initiative
