Excelsior has been engaged to conduct a search for this innovative fintech, a relatively small (<100 people) yet established global technology provider to the financial markets, with many tier 1 sell side banks as clients in Europe, North America and Asia. They’ve seen strong double digit growth the past year, and with the release of new real-time market data aggregation and distribution technologies to meet the future data needs’ of financial institutions, they‘re embarking on a growth phase and looking for a sales professional that would like to be part of their story.
Reporting direct to the CEO you’ll quickly become an integral member of the company, which has a relaxed and co-operative professional environment, and take a lead role in selling their suite of data solutions to both existing and new clients. You’ll be given a book of business including tier 1 banks to protect licence revenue whilst seeking upsell opportunities for different areas of the banks and/or geographies globally, in addition to having the freedom to seek out new name client opportunities, helped by respected market data technology solutions and very referenceable clients. It’s a great career opportunity for someone wanting to work for a company where they’d be a “bigger fish in a smaller pond”, with strong sales potential and an uncapped commission structure.
You'll need to be able to show:
- Experience selling real-time market data / datafeeds or related data management / distribution technology solutions i.e. for likes of Bloomberg, Refinitiv, IHS Markit, Nasdaq, ICE, LSEG, S&P or similar companies etc.
- A proven track record of meeting sales targets, in either an account management and/or new business sales role.
- The ability to pick up solutions which are new / unique in the market.
- The role will require a self-motivated results orientated sales professional, capable of managing complex sales cycles at very senior levels within banks.
- Finally, the will to work for and fit in a small company environment where besides an entrepreneurial outlook will be welcomed, your professionalism, integrity and decency will also be highly valued.
