The Opportunity:

  • This is newly created opportunity, and, a role that represents a “greenfield” opportunity for a highly motivated individual who is excited about working for very successful boutique asset manager (with a difference) who can demonstrate significant asset growth over the last 18 months
  • My client is seeking to raise assets from new target markets, specifically Scandinavia, Netherlands, German speaking Europe, and, the investment consultant community (due to an increased push to win more institutional mandates)
  • Success in the role will require initially a lot of application and strategic market research to assess the various geographic markets, identify, meet and cultivate new prospects and any relevant existing client relationships
  • Lead new business meetings with a focus on closing sales directly with the clients or through the investment consulting community
  • Working with the other Sales Directors to look at cross-selling opportunities and other “easy wins”, and, developing and maintaining relationships with existing 3rd Party fund distributors
  • Ensuring and supporting the ongoing development of product and sales materials for client and investment consultant presentations, reporting and events


Your Experience:

  • You will be forming part of a very driven and motivated sales team who are excited about the meaningful asset growth their hard work has generated over the last few years. It is likely that the first few months will be key to the success of this role and the opportunity to build your sales pipeline from scratch must be motivating to you
  • It is essential that you have demonstrable direct fund sales experience and be able to demonstrate the ability to create, develop, and close sales opportunities with ideally both wholesale / retail clients, and, institutional clients
  • My client is predominantly an active equity investor, so, equity fund knowledge would be beneficial from the outcome
  • Some experience of fund sales experience within Scandinavia and / or Netherlands would be helpful but not essential, as would a current network of investor and investment consultant relationships
  • Experience in selling Emerging Market funds would be advantageous
