You will be responsible for implementing the ambitious sales strategy and identifying new business leads within financial institutions. The company is in expansion mode following the latest investment of capital which has enabled the next exciting stage in its evolution.  The company’s DNA is embedded in the security services background of its founders who, as brilliant scientists and technologists, have employed cutting edge machine learning and NLP techniques to develop a unique data intelligence platform.  They are seeking to hire an exceptional sales director capable of exploiting the significant opportunities that exist within the financial services sector and promoting the company as a thought leader in strategic intelligence, global risk, KYC and cyber security.

You will be responsible for implementing the ambitious sales strategy and identifying new business leads within financial institutions. Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential clients through business contacts, unsolicited communications, industry events, public speaking, conferences and/or other industry activities and sources.
  • Support the development of a consistent market presence that supports and sets up the company as a thought leader in Strategic Intelligence, Global Risk, KYC and Cyber Security.
  • Develop new, and leverage existing, relationships with potential buyers through in-person meetings, presentations, speaking engagements, business networking, telephone calls, emails, mailings, business forums, direct marketing, and/or other business or social outings.
  • Ensure the company “maintains relevance” to these clients by developing trusted relationships with key buyers, influencers, decision makers and senior management.
  • Lead sales opportunities through the appropriate sales process ensuring that a competitive advantage is created, understood, and well communicated to decision-makers.
  • Maintain and report on sales/opportunity pipeline. Communicate expectations for closure and requirements for success in opportunities, accounts and role.
  • Actively participate in sales and technology trainings, meetings, reporting, and governance practices.
  • Travel as required.



Requirements:

  • Significant experience selling sophisticated software to financial services clients including banks and insurance companies.
  • Evidence of a comprehensive rolodex of financial institutions in the UK, Europe and/or US.
  • Specific experience selling to Risk and Compliance functions would be a significant advantage.
  • A passion for, and first rate understanding of, contemporary technological innovation.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
