The Opportunity:

  • Newly created position working for a market leading Private Market focused Global Advisory and Capital Placement firm
  • With offices in a number of key financial centres, my client has gone from strength to strength, positioning itself as one of the preeminent players in this space
  • This broad role is high profile and offers a lot of internal exposure, supporting directly a Sales Professional (Partner) who has a specific regional focus
  • This close-nit dynamic team covers typically complex institutional clients and provides them with investment opportunities within Private Credit, Private Equity and Real Assets
  • Being effectively a "second pair of eyes and ears", through your proactive approach and technical knowledge you will attend investor meetings and assist with marrying clients' investment requirements with the right investment opportunities
  • To facilitate the above you will work with the Sales team to collate investor feedback and ensure timely follow-up, along with providing valuable analytical input, ensuring investor updates are tracked, target lists updated etc.
  • Through your exceptional organisational skills you will assist with roadshow management and help to prepare the Sales team for attendance at conferences and ad-hoc meetings
  • Project management will be a key part of the role, whether as part of larger initiatives or on more of an ad-hoc basis
  • Using Excel to formulate and manipulate Sales Reports and Investor Target lists

Your Experience:

  • You will have a strong record of academic achievement, culminating in a undergraduate degree (or equivalent) which demonstrates a proficiency with "numbers" as well as more qualitative qualities
  • Background wise, you will have worked in financial services, ideally within a Placement Agent or Buy-side firm
  • You will have worked within a Sales Support / Institutional Client Services role, and, may also have had dedicated Support / Roadshow Management experience
  • Knowledge of alternative investments (ideally private markets) will be preferred. The desire to become as subject matter expert with regards to my client's investment strategies is essential however
  • Exceptional organisational skills are absolutely key, along with the demonstrable ability to use your initiative to work in a proactive manner
  • Be able to see the "bigger picture" and think more broadly, being able to piece together "needs and wants" - be a solution orientated person
  • Professional industry qualifications desirable such as the IMC or CAIA
  • Strong Microsoft skills required, and, knowledge of Salesforce desirable
