ML Capital is looking to hire a Sales Executive to join the rapidly growing sales effort in the UK, with a predominant focus on London. The core objective of the role will be raising assets from Institutional Investors that are most suitable to our UCITS product range.

Success to date has been among Institutional investors, both wholesale & direct. We aim to expand this network while also targeting a complimentary investor base, such as family offices and asset managers. We are looking for a self-motivated experienced sales person who will embrace the role in a fast-growing business to drive future investments. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of your accounts across the region, yet form a part of an integral, successful and dynamic sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales and inflows for ML Capital’s range of funds, predominantly UCITS, in the UK
  • Proactively identify sales opportunities and materialise net new inflows
  • Consistently refresh the opportunity pipeline by creating new and relevant relationships
  • Prepare, conduct and follow up on roadshows as a means to achieving sales targets
  • Liaise with portfolio managers for roadshow briefings and investor feedback
  • Proactively take ownership of the entire sales process, while working closely with internal Investor Relations, PR and Operations teams to meet investors needs
  • Actively maintain the CRM system with updates on all current and prospective investors
  • Help promote the ML Capital brand and strengthen client relationships by being the face and voice of the business and providing outstanding customer service
  • Stay informed on financial markets to spot trends
  • Look for new opportunities and establish credibility with new clients by understanding their business


Skills Required:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in asset management sales, ideally with a hedge fund or a traditional fund management firm
  • A successful demonstrable track record in a similar role
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience of dealing with clients, both face to face and on the telephone
  • An undergraduate degree from a reputable institution, preferably with a focus on finance
  • Sound knowledge of financial markets
  • Solid computer skills – Salesforce, or a similar CRM system, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Client driven: High level of client service, proactive problem resolution, long-term view to relationship building
  • Entrepreneurial and business builder mindset, able to combine niche local market knowledge with understanding of wider business impact
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
  • Highly organised
  • Creative and pragmatic
