A Multi-billion dollar alternative credit manager is looking to make a key Business Development hire to support its lean marketing team headed by a co-founder of the firm, in its London headquarters.

This is the perfect opportunity for a driven and motivated individual to progress further into a Sales role. The new hire will support the Sales team and aid the complete fundraising process and manage and develop relationships with investors. The new hire will benefit from extensive exposure from day one, with direct mentoring and training from the asset raising team. This is an exciting time to join as the firm has just had its best quarter ever of late.

Individuals are hands on and roll their sleeves up. Decisions can be made quickly and processes are efficient, with initiatives not needing to be approved by many different individuals and departments.

We are looking for candidates with 2-5 years’ experience in the investment management industry. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of credit and/or hedge fund strategies. Other backgrounds will also be considered. There is a strong preference for Italian speakers. This role sits separately from the investor relations/client services team.

After gaining a grounding at the firm the new hire will eventually develop into a full Sales role where they will manage their own investor relationships and travel to meet their own prospects.   

The firm is offering a very competitive package with up to £60k base and with the potential to earn multiples of the base salary as a bonus once a candidate progresses to a full sales role.  We feel that the benefits package is in the upper quartile of what the London hedge fund market typically offers.
