Tradition is the interdealer broking arm of Compagnie Financière Tradition and one of the world's largest interdealer brokers in over-the-counter financial and commodity related products. CFT is represented in over 28 countries, employing over 2,500 people.

Tradition is currently seeking to appoint a Risk Analyst to be based within the London office.

Main responsibilities within the Risk Analyst position include:

Contribute to the achievement of the Risk Department’s objectives and assist with the development of Enterprise-wide Risk Management (“EWRM”) within Tradition London Group.

EWRM

  • Interacting with first line of defence (“1LOD”) functions to embed EWRM
  • Assisting with policy/procedural documentation maintenance
  • Providing risk induction to new joiners

RCSA

  • Assisting with facilitation of Risk and Control Self Assessments (“RCSA”) and capture of results on the OneSumX system
  • Ensuring smooth administration of RCSA process, including chasing up scoring and sign-offs
  • Assisting with testing of the OneSumX system

Issues & Incidents

  • Monitoring incident capture and providing analysis, highlighting trends, performing deep-dive investigations
  • Ensuring the incident workflow in OneSumX is operating effectively
  • Providing incident training on OneSumX
  • Assisting with issue and action administration, including following up on open internal audit points
  • Liaising with PwC as internal auditors on status of audit actions

ICAAP/ICARA

  • Assisting with generation of risk capital assessment
  • Assisting with stress testing and scenario analysis workshops

Team

  • Monthly and quarterly reporting from OneSumX
  • Contributing to the team’s monthly Risk Workshop
  • Assisting with the collection of Key Risk Indicator (“KRI”) data and the monthly KRI pack
  • Tracking the status of actions for Risk department project work-streams
  • Contributing to a spirit of teamwork and unity among Risk department members
  • Communicating in a helpful and open manner with all relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Representing  the Risk department positively in its interactions with other functions

Governance

  • Escalating concerns to the Chief Risk Officer as line manager
  • Undertaking and passing all necessary training in line with the requirements of the role
  • Adhering to all Tradition policies and applicable legislation
  • Any other duties reasonably requested

 

Key skills, experience and competencies required to be successful in this role:

  • Basic knowledge of enterprise-wide risk management, operational risk and associated best practice
  • Previous experience in a similar role within financial services would be advantageous
  • Risk, Regulation or Compliance qualifications advantageous
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
