Tradition is currently seeking to appoint a Risk Analyst to be based within the London office.

Main responsibilities within the Risk Analyst position include:


  • Interacting with first line of defence (“1LOD”) functions to embed EWRM
  • Assisting with policy/procedural documentation maintenance
  • Co-ordinating the firm-wide Risk training (via E-Learning Module)
  • Providing risk training to the 1LOD and risk induction to new joiners


  • Assisting with facilitation of Risk and Control Self Assessments (“RCSA”) and capture of results on the OneSumX system
  • Ensuring smooth administration of RCSA process, including chasing up sign-offs within the RCSA process (risk owners, control owners, OU owners)
  • Assisting with testing of the OneSumX system
  • Managing the collection of Key Risk Indicator (“KRI”) data and production of the monthly KRI pack

Issues & Incidents

  • Capturing incidents and providing analysis, highlighting trends
  • Ensuring the incident workflow in OneSumX is operating effectively
  • Assisting with issue and action administration, including following up on open internal audit points
  • Escalating concerns to the Chief Risk Officer as line manager


  • Assisting with generation of Pillar 2 risk capital numbers
  • Assisting with stress testing and scenario analysis workshops


  • Acting as Secretary to the Risk Workshop, arranging meetings, collating papers and recording actions
  • Tracking the status of actions for Risk department project work-streams
  • Contributing to a spirit of teamwork and unity among Risk department members that encourages an appreciation of diversity, cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working together effectively to enable each employee and the department to achieve its goals
  • Communicating in a friendly, helpful and non-prejudicial manner with all relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Representing  the Risk department positively in its interactions with other functions


  • Undertaking and passing all necessary training in line with the requirements of the role
  • Adhering to all Tradition policies and applicable legislation
  • Any other duties reasonably requested


Key skills, experience and competencies required to be successful in this role:

  • Knowledge of enterprise-wide risk management and associated best practice
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous
  • Risk, Regulation or Compliance qualifications advantageous
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • High level of integrity and discretion
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic to learn
