The role will probably suit someone entering the financial markets with a passion for business, current affairs, and keen to learn about business planning and strategy. The "Research Analyst" will be heavily involved in data research delivering high quality documents, reports and presentations.

The "Research Analyst" will be heavily involved in data research delivering high quality documents, reports and presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging and communicating effectively with senior stakeholders to elicit and investigate requirements
  • Clearly identifying the nature and characteristics of data required for research, analytics and presentation
  • Devising and conducting high-quality, thorough and thoughtful research and, where appropriate, innovating new ideas and approaches
  • Identifying and presenting the impact, outcome criteria, metrics required and the research methodologies used
  • Creating presentations with maximal impact through effective use of animations, fonts, photographs, builds, charts, graphs, and other visual elements
  • Delivering routine and ad hoc analysis and reports, highlighting significant variances and areas for further attention and analysis
  • Working with Finance, HR, Sales and other departments to understand performance, external factors, underlying trends and variances

Candidate Profile:

  • Ideally educated at degree level in a business related discipline
  • Excellent communication/storytelling skills, particularly through use of visuals. Ability to write thoughtful well structured content that succinctly draws out and articulates key messages
  • Ability to talk to and present to a range of stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence based approach
  • The ability to draw insights from a range of data sources
  • Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and in Adobe Create Suite
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and working independently
  • Credibility and integrity to build trust and influence
