An ideal [Release Manager] for Consumer Onboarding will need to be able to display the following qualities:

Knowledge & Experience
  • Understanding of technical IT infrastructure and application stacks for web-based services
  • Experience of scheduling IT change on complex IT environments and managing multiple dependencies
  • Experience in creating and executing complex technical schedule of events
  • Analytical skills, organisational awareness, self/work organisation and project management
  • MS Office inc Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Project advanced


Key Accountabilities
  • Lead the engagement strategy with the various Labs and Project/Programme teams to have a clear line of sight of the change portfolio and manage the Release Management activity accordingly
  • Ownership of delivery route to live
  • Support in definition of quality criteria that all releases should meet before going live - balancing the needs of the organisation against the protection of the service to the customers
  • Design and implement bespoke implementation strategies to support highly complex/non-standard/multi-platform changes, viewing change from various perspectives - customer, service, performance, operations
  • Manage up to Executive level stakeholders and communicates plans effectively to the senior/executive team and business stakeholders.
  • Design and implement the release entry criteria - ensure the release meets stringent quality criteria, balancing the needs of the organisation against the protection of the service to the customers.
  • Challenge and liaise with relevant parties where release quality is not met, in order to rectify in a timely manner
  • Builds and maintains internal networks with Group CIO to collaborate effectively and meet the stringent quality criteria
