EMEA CIO Enablement Associate
We're looking for an EMEA CIO Enablement Associate with demonstrated experience in Technology; preferably with experience in Financial Services and/or Investment Banking. The role will be responsible for CIO Executive level activities, such as stakeholder management and co-ordination of key EMEA leadership & strategy meetings. You should enjoy handling complexity, and be able to wade through it until simple solutions emerge. We are lean and agile, and look for people who thrive in this work style.

Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Responsible for the administration and co-ordination of all matters relating to the ETOC (CIB UK CIO is chair, secretariat lies with this function). To include, but not limited to:
    • Administration of ETOC calendar
    • Creation of the ETOC pack taking inputs from all relevant contributors.
    • Managing ETOC action register (to include chasing for resolutions etc.)
    • Managing ETOC RAID logs as appropriate
  • Supporting the management and resolution of issues formally raised by Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit in respect of the EMEA Technology function. Managing the administration of escalations to the business heads, any Technology related issues that require resolution by them and gathering supporting information to enable the regulatory Lead and EMEA CIO to make an informed decision.
  • Supporting the Regulatory Lead on all notifiable regulatory incidents. To include but not limited to:
    • Collating all relevant information on the incident
    • Creating briefing packs to assist Senior Management in the rapid evaluation of issues and the identification of a suitable recovery plan.
    • Supporting the co-ordination of recovery plans and activities, with all associated progress reporting etc.
    • Upon successful resolution of the issue, execute 'lessons learned' activities to ensure that all reasonable preventative actions have been set in place to ensure, where possible, that we prevent a repeat incident.
  • Supporting the Regulatory Lead in Implementation of and, input into the EMEA Technology strategy.
  • Working to ensure that reasonable steps are carried out/in place to implement operational risk controls in the UK entities CIB Technology function, consistent with the Firm wide operational risk management framework and other risk appetite parameters.
  • Supporting the communication of the firm's culture and conduct standards in the UK entities' Technology function
Qualifications Required:

  • Ability to articulate complex issues concisely and communicate effectively and comfortably with Senior Management.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving, owning the issues and having the determination to follow tasks /issues through.
  • Experience and proven track record in stakeholder management, partnership and governance.
  • Strong relationship building skills in a complex organisation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels, including ability to communicate effectively with Senior Managing Directs to CEO-1 level.
