The role holder will have responsibility for managing the UK regulatory change programme for projects arising from regulatory changes arising from Brexit and impacting the UK Branch.
A key part of this role will be the identification of such changes and their impact on the business, working in conjunction with the relevant Compliance Officers and business areas and support and control functions. The role holder will also need to work with the business areas and functions to put in place the necessary regulatory change programmes in order to properly implement the required change. Certain projects will be centralised in Head office and the role holder will be required to provide the UK oversight and input to such projects.
The role holder will also design, and in some circumstances may deliver, appropriate post implementation testing programmes to confirm that the implementation has been effective. They are required to establish a strong relationship not only with the Head Office staff, but relevant London management, the business areas and functions that interact with the Compliance Department on a regular basis. The role holder will be responsible for the tracking of the regulatory change projects within their remit and for the collation, review and production of routine compliance MI for these projects. Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience
• Demonstrable programme management and regulatory implementation skills across a range of topics and impacted business and support areas
• A strong market and regulatory background across a broad range of UK and European regulation with the ability to analyse and implement regulatory change including in areas of uncertainty.
• The ability to engage effectively with stakeholders whilst setting out a clear roadmap to implementation
Clear communication skills including around the reporting and resolution of challenges arising in complex implementation projects
