Regulatory Compliance Director - Consultancy

I am partnered with a leading, risk management and regulatory compliance consulting firm, to secure them a Director for their London Office. Individuals must have a mix of Financial Services and Consultancy experience.

The successful candidate will work with a multi-disciplinary team helping banks and other financial institutions create strategic plans, business plans, and financial forecasts; structure and analyze mergers and acquisitions; and launch or restructure business lines. The role holder will create and refine complex financial projection models including functionality as detailed regulatory capital calculations, interest rate and liquidity stress tests and granular growth and expense assumptions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact comfortably with Chairman, CEO, COO, and other executives and Board members of clients and regulatory authorities, generally with a Managing Director present.
  • Act as business client point of contact for engagement delivery with Managing Director guidance.
  • Identify new business opportunities with existing and/or new clients and generate business.
  • Manage engagement teams and strong demonstrated ability to work with clients to include assessing the client's needs.
  • Expected to manage projects to client satisfaction by adding value to clients.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to budget thus adding value to the Firm.
  • Oversee project deliverables and deliver as an individual contributor where expected.
  • Travel as required to client sites in the United States and internationally. Time spent traveling is at least 30 percent.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Senior professional with a minimum of 10-12 years of experience to include a senior-level position in a financial institution(s), consulting/accounting/law firm(s), and/or government agency.
  • Technical expertise and experience in compliance, risk management, corporate governance, accounting, or legal or regulatory issues, finance, lending, trading and/or other financial services core competencies.
  • Track record working in an unstructured environment where engagement leaders are expected to identify and develop innovative solutions to client challenges.
  • MBA, PhD, JD or equivalent is preferred.
