Department overview:

The Reference Data Management team is responsible for ensuring high levels of data quality (book, counterparty, instrument, pricing and event driven data) throughout the organisation and infrastructure.

The group has a broad environment, facing off to multiple regions, functions and asset classes.

Role description:

The role will focus on reference data (as defined above) and indirectly manage the daily risk and performance of the run-the-bank group based in Powai. Whilst acting as a central point of contact for key stakeholders in EMEA and evolving Nomura's overall data performance.

Key objectives critical to success:

  • Daily oversight of Key Risk Indicators
  • Daily oversight of Data Quality performance
  • Owner of continuous work-driver (route-cause) analysis
  • Intra-day escalation point for Powai Group

Act as regional stakeholder manager (Technology, Operations, Risk and Trading)

Skills, qualifications and knowledge required

    • Basic level of understanding of capital markets asset classes
    • Basic level of understanding of client data
    • Basic level of understanding of internal books
    • High level understanding of the drivers behind Corporate and Business function consuming data
  • Excellent communication skills

    • High level of understanding in allocated specialty (i.e. Books, Clients, Instruments, etc.)
    • Understanding of Data Management processes/environment
    • Understanding of Nomura Control framework
