OUR CLIENT is the successful fund management arm of a property company who require an Analyst/Financial Modeller to join their Real Estate finance team. 


THE ROLE: The Analyst role is predominantly a reporting, review and back office role working closely as link with the finance department and the fund / development and asset management teams. It will primarily consist of:

  • Responsible for production of quarter end Fund reports including completion of detailed project level (excel) appraisals (with updated actuals), consolidated Fund level cash flow forecasts and returns.
  • Modelling and reviewing existing and new investments, across different real estate sectors with differing funding and profit-sharing arrangements.  Sense checking assumptions through to underlying documentation and working with the asset management/investment teams.
  • Sensitivity analysis of the project appraisals, modelling various funding and exit scenarios.
  • Assisting the finance and asset management team with operational project management. 
  • Preparation of the detailed investor call and distribution calculations (including fee and carry calculations).
  • Production and management of the quarterly investor return reporting, completing Fund and investment level metrics via investor portals/templates.
  • Maintenance and management of the underlying Fund metrics database.
  • Assisting finance team with various excel based tasks.


THE PERSON: To apply, you will be a well-educated (numeric or real estate degree preferred as a minimum) candidate with above average Excel skills (able to produce cashflows) and strong communication and presentation skills. You will possess a ‘can do’ attitude and be a resourceful self-starter with an awareness of accounting / finance and ideally financial statements. You will possess commercial savvy, combined with between 6 to 18 months practical exposure to appraisals, reporting and analysis in a property / real estate environment.  The role will also play a key part in investor returns and reporting and will take on additional reporting of OPCo’s as they acquire.  The company is currently following a hybrid working model.
