Our client a highly regarded buy-side institution require a "Quality Assurance Engineer". The "Quality Assurance Engineer" will be building out the businesses Development Centre, which is aligned to Global Investment Risk Management. The team directly supports Investment Risk and the broader Fund Management business.

Our client a highly regarded buy-side institution require a "Quality Assurance Engineer". The "Quality Assurance Engineer" will be building out the businesses Development Centre, which is aligned to Global Investment Risk Management. The team directly supports Investment Risk and the broader Fund Management business.

On a daily basis the "QA Manager" will be responsible for the following;

  • Own and implement test automation strategy to reduce manual testing to improve test coverage
  • Assess and recommend QA strategy based on functional and non-functional requirements
  • Provide technical advice to other QA Engineer's and design new technical standards
  • Take ownership driving change, automation and innovation
  • Mentor wider team to support the team lead and optimise team performance
  • Write clear and concise tests recognising the need to address technical debts
  • Evolve as an SME
  • Contribute to designing and maintaining quality standards of the product

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Tooling: Cucumber, Cypress, Playwright, JMeter
  • Experienced in test automation frameworks
  • Experienced working with AGILE teams
  • Fundamental approaches experience: TDD, BDD, ATDD, OOP, SOLID principles
  • DVCS with GIT/Mercurial
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Octopus, TeamCity, Artifactory)
  • Programming and performing peer code reviews
  • Comfortable using complex data on large systems
  • Experience with production issues supporting migration/remediation
  • Exposure to Azure and Docker/Containerisation
  • Experienced working with a highly skilled/educated user base delivering software solutions
  • Familiar with data models
  • Experienced with front-to back trade flows, trade capture and pre and post-trade compliance
  • Experienced with data sets including VAR and risk analytics
